ROXIE

About

The Roxie is San Francisco's oldest continually operating theater; turning 100 in 2009. It has been functioning as an independent arthouse theater since the 1970s, showing the best of art, music, foreign and documentary films.

It is home for some of our city's most popular festivals, including INDIEFEST, DOCFEST, NOISEPOP and FRAMELINE. The Roxie also doubles as a small distribution company, Roxie Releasing, with such hits as GENGHIS BLUES, FREEWAY and RIVERS AND TIDES.
